School Visits

Creative talks and hands-on workshops where students imagine, experiment and tell stories of their own.

I visit schools to inspire creativity through storytelling, illustration and making. My sessions are designed to give students practical creative tools while encouraging curiosity, experimentation and confidence in their own ideas.

I offer talks and workshops for primary and high school students, each running 45–60 minutes and adaptable to your year group and context.

TALKS

Where Stories Come From

Years 1–6 | 45–60 min | In-person or Virtual

An interactive talk exploring where ideas come from and how stories begin. Through drawing, discussion and a playful "What if?" activity, students discover that inspiration is everywhere and leave with ideas of their own to keep exploring.

The Making of a Book

Years 1–6 | 45–60 min | In-person or Virtual

Go behind the scenes of making picture books and graphic novels. From first spark to finished pages. Students discover how words and pictures work together, and learn that drafting, feedback and experimentation are all part of every creative process.

WORKSHOPS

My workshops invite students to think like storytellers. Using words, pictures and creative play they’ll explore ideas, solve problems and make meaning.

Two Frames, One Story

Years 3–12 | 45–60 min | In-person only

A hands-on visual storytelling workshop exploring how two images can tell an entire story. Through live demonstration and guided activities, students experiment with sequence, composition and expression before creating their own two-frame narrative.

One Scene, Many Stories

Years 7–12 | 60 min | In-person only

A hands-on visual storytelling workshop exploring how composition, light and colour shape narrative. Working from the same simple prompt, students discover how small creative choices can transform one scene into countless different stories through brainstorming, thumbnail sketching and illustration.
